An Update from Dr. Steven Krauss’s Family and Staff
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of support we have received since Dr. Krauss’s sudden passing. We deeply appreciate all the kind messages and wonderful memories you have shared with us over the past few weeks.
We are dedicated to ensuring that your children will continue to receive the highest quality dental care in a nurturing and fun environment. After careful consideration, we are very proud to welcome Dr. Sam Abettan as Dr. Krauss’s successor in the practice.
Dr. Abettan is an outstanding pediatric dentist whose stellar credentials, broad clinical experience, and warm personality make him the ideal candidate to assume the leadership of our experienced team of dental hygienists and assistants. He joins us from a private pediatric dental practice on Long Island and has treated patients in a variety of clinical settings. Dr. Abettan is a proponent of preventative and minimally invasive dentistry and works with his patients and their parents to provide a customized approach to dental health, with a chairside manner that keeps patients and their families comfortable and at ease. When he’s not in the office, he serves as Assistant Director of the Pediatric Dental Residency Program at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he trains pediatric dental residents. Dr. Abettan earned his D.D.S. at New York University College of Dentistry, where he also completed a postgraduate residency in pediatric dentistry and was taught by Dr. Krauss while training at the RFK University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association, and is certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
